Staff from HuntSNet Schools

HuntSNet are working in partnership with De Montfort university to develop a research project based on Assessment for Learning, which will impact on standards and raising attainment in our schools. It is anticipated the project will be school based and a colleague from every school will participte in the collection of data. We consider this will further CPD opportunities for interested colleagues.

Initial work is being funded by HuntSNet itself but we are trying to access further funding from a variety of sources to release some staff to collate, evaluate and present the findings at the end of the project.

The project will be exciting and contribute positively in the following ways

  • 23 schools have a data source of approximately 8000 students and their families
  • there is a broad profile of schools from nursery, rural primaries, more disadvantaged urban schools, special school to large secondaries.
  • HuntSNet has a growing reputation for successful initiatives and has been referenced by the LEA in their recent Ofsted and by the TTA
  • the project meets the latest governmnet initiatives - Excellence and Enjoyment, Chief Inspectors Annual report, KS3 strategy.
